ThomasG Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I can pull on the plastic lever but nothing pops. I don't want to pull too hard as it feels it would break quite easily. I need to put water in the spray reservoir. Any ideas how I can fix this without dismantling too much?
Magnet Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Hello Thomas, Have you tried getting an assistant to attempt to press down and up on the front edge of the bonnet while you pull the lever? Kind regards, Gareth. 1

ThomasG Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 He had his glamorous assistant on The Generation Game 🙂
Trevor Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 lol....humour aimed at the us older generation I think....I remember Anthea Redfern so that shows my age Anthea Redfern, Self (Series 1-7) ; Isla St. Clair, Self (Series 8-11) ; Rosemarie Ford, Self (Series 12-16) ; Sally Meen, Self (Series 17).
Magnet Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Blinking heck Trevor, I’m a fully paid up member of older generation, with many years of experience behind me, but I failed miserably to get this one. Did anyone else get this first off? Kind regards, Gareth. 1
ThomasG Posted December 16, 2023 Author Posted December 16, 2023 Ha ha However, how do I fix this? Any ideas 🙂
Magnet Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 So have you tried my suggestion - Bruce Forsyth or not? If you don’t have an assistant, can you commander some passing unsuspected for 5 minutes?
ThomasG Posted December 16, 2023 Author Posted December 16, 2023 Not yet, as I'm in Hamburg. Fly back tomorrow eve. Will try on Monday... 1

Magnet Posted December 27, 2023 Posted December 27, 2023 Great bit of luck Thomas. Thanks for letting us know. Well worthwhile making sure the under-bonnet latch and the cable are now well lubricated. Kind regards, Gareth.
