Hello!

I have a 2013 Audi A4 B8 Quattro S-Line with 177 hp.

I have a shaking issue with the car. The whole car shakes while accelerating , usually in higher gears 4th , 5th and 6th at lower RPM-s, from 1500 to 2500. After 2500 RPM the shaking almost completley stops.

The car also shakes a little bit if I fully press the gas pedal and release it almost immediately while stationary, but I don't know if it's related to the issue.

I changed the front driveshafts because some mechanic said that was the issue, but it didn't solve it.

Some mechanic said it could be the motor mounts and the transmission mounts or it could be the flywheel that causes this issue. Someone also said that it could be something with the quattro transmission.

The problem is , they are not sure and the flywheel cost about 1000 to a 1500 euros and I don't want to change it, if it won't solve the issue.

The mechanic also said that if the flywheel is what causing the issue, it should rumble while pressing the clutch or while the car is stationary, but it doesn't.

I'm wondering if anyone had the same problem as me? And I'm also wondering if there is a way to check if the engine mounts are bad?  Also, sorry if my English is bad.

Hello David,

The two suggestions are flywheel and engine mounts.
Which would be the cheaper of the two to try first?

Answer - engine mounts - so that would be my suggested way forward.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

That is true. But It still could be something else besides the engine mounts.

The weird thing is , I changed the transmission oil and the shaking got better. After 2-3 weeks, it's the same again.

Indeed it could be ‘something else besides the engine mounts’, but you have to bear in mind that we don’t have any access to this vehicle to be about to inspect anything.
If changing the transmission oil gave a temporary easement to your symptoms, then that too could be something to bring into the equation.
So do you have a transmission specialist within reasonable distance?
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi!

I took the car to a really good mechanic. He said that the injectors are bad, the fourth one is at 3+ mg/cycle. But the first and second injectors are also bad.

He said that the shaking is also from the bad injectors.
