Looking to get my Q5 Remapped.

What recommendations local to Swindon.

Before you Remap your Q5...  is it a diesel?  DO NOT Remap it!!  The risks of  ECU failure and future associated damage to the Engine and Gearbox are very high. My advice is to contact  "Chip express"  on their website... where all will be explained... clearly and honestly.

Thanks, but do you have any connection with ‘Chip Express’ was what I was asking - I thought clearly enough.

Absolutely NOT!!!.. I purchased a unit from them 6 years ago for my 2010 A3 2lt tdi. I have recently returned it to them for an upgrade as I have now puchased a 2016 A3 2lt tdi. The fuel consumption dropped dramatically and the BHP increased dramatically  with much added torque through all gears with the unit. Just go on the "Chip Express" website to see for yourself. Regards Martyn.

Because that's the best company in my opinion and experience. Remember this is NOT a remap!! ..IT is an addon Chip. Read the testimonials and instructions on their website.

But that's not what was asked for in the original post though. The OP asked for a remap not an add on.  In my experience Motorsport Developments in Blackpool are the best around, they have done several cars of mine and even live mapped my Escort Cosworth with a laptop running Racelogic whilst we were driving it.

Bit of a bump but having been considering a remap on my own 3.0TDi I stumbled here.

After a bit of googling at this Chip Express I wouldn't go there, it's a box that hooks in between the fuel pressure sensor and the ECU. So all it's going to do is fudge the signal to increase/decrease the fuel pressure as it see's fit.

A proper remap (Revo, Celtic, Darkside, Bluefin, etc) alters the fuel map, boost regulation, shift points, etc based on the ACTUAL data sent from the cars sensors, it does not remove any of the safeguards and doesn't fudge signals that the ECU relies on.

I know nothing about Chip Express or how it works, but it seems to me that if such a cheap magical solution really does all it claims, then car makers around the world would be fitting them as standard at their factories.

No, this sounds like snake oil designed to deceive the naive, the gullible, and the innocent.

Hi Cliff well put but they are not snake oil just the stuff that comes out of the snakes rear end, any tuning box is eventual death for your engine, the best advice on this thread was LEAVE IT ALONE?

Steve.
