Neggs
Hi guys. Got a 2018 a4 2.0 tdi with the 7 speed auto box. I’ve noticed when I come to a stop it judders going into first. If I stop very gently it doesn’t do it, or at least I don’t feel it. But normal stopping I can. Also when I initially go into first I feel it. It’s fine through all the other gears, very smooth. Could it be the gear box mounts? Or need an oil change? I’m new to Audi’s so any help would be greatfull.
Magnet
Hello Neil, Welcome and thanks for joining. Auto gearboxes should benefit from an oil change around 75K, but even if it hasn’t yet covered that mileage, then it would be advisable in your case to get a specialist to give it a look over. Kind regards, Gareth.
Steve Q
I agree with Gareths advice, might be worth getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
Neggs
The car has done 124k miles, will have a look through the device history. it was a company car before I got it so I’d have thought it would have been done. An engine management light has come aswell so it might be connected somehow. Will get it booked in with a specialist as soon as. Thanks for the reply though 👍
Magnet
Many thanks Neil, ‘….company car ……so thought it would have been done..’ Probably unlikely, since as far as I know, it’s not an official scheduled item. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
