hi i have a 1996 Audi 80 cabriolet 2.0 abk 5 speed manual , it has a steering wheel wobble at 60mph + i have changed the tyres had them balanced by 2 different machines, replaced both front shock absorbers as they were leaking , both top mounts , both front drive shafts , both lower arms , hubs and changed the wheel bearing in one of them. with it running at 70mph on a ramp the shocks are shaking i am completely lost what to do with it now, it has always had a wobble since ive owned it , any help would be much appreciated.

thanks Charlie

I’m sorry Charlie I don’t know what else you could change but I’ll be very interested in learning what the final solution is.
Good luck!

Welcome Charlie,

Even though the tyres are new (brand?) and have been balanced, it might be worth going through the no-cost exercise of swopping front and back wheels - with respect to rotation.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

hi everyone thank you for your replies , I have been told that the diffs come loose in the gearbox so probably going to put a 2ndhand gearbox in it and hope it sorts it , anyone had any issues with the 5speed manual fitted to a 2.0 abk ?
