BenKenobi Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) The S4 (2015 B8.5) delivered Wednesday has now gone under the magnifier, I need a whole bunch of plastic clips for the front under the bonnet - those push things that hold on 1 : The scuttle under the windscreen - holes at the outer edges near the wings that should clearly have something in them 2 : The apron that goes over the bonnet catch between the grill and covers the radiator pack. 3 : The top of the radiator pack is not secured - I have no idea what should be present - there are two large rubber pieces on the radiator pack, two holes in the metalwork but these holes too are empty. 4 : Drivers door mirror heating element has croaked so need a new mirror - I prefer genuine as I have had issues in the past with aftermarket (coming unglued or simply not lasting long) - anyone know the part number for aspherical heated ? - there are a lot of numbers listed by my sources, if it is the number I believe 8F0857536H the cost is horrendous from Audi - best part of £500 .... but I don't know if my car came with the auto anti dazzle because I cannot find the buiild codes. I'd like to know how the S4 door mirror covers should be - should they be painted or should they be a 'matt' chrome - mine are painted but not particularly well so I don't think that is factory. There is no build list sticker anywhere in the car that I can see so guess I need to ask Audi unless anyone knows of a simpler way to figure this out - need the trim codes in particular and no there are no stickers on the B pillar or the doors. All the wheels need the lacquer replacing, could probably do with a replacement drivers door but only if I get overly picky, the AC is dead - Error G359 - have already ordered a new sensor (genuine of course) 4HO 959 126C if anyone cares, there is gas in the system. I will need to take it into Audi in the next month or so as I only got one key and the adaptive cruise is complaining about not being correctly calibrated - anyone have any idea the cost of this calibration at Audi ? - I may try resolving myself before committing to Audi abuse, zeroing out the "misalignment angle, horizontal" and "vertical deadjustment" to 0 - I believe it should do a dynamic calibration when this is done but I will check the radar first - checked - there is only one and it is loose .. too cold, too dark and too wet to be messing further. Car is a dark grey, I will try to get some pictures of the locations of the missing clips tomorrow when the light returns. Anyone thinks they recognise it I would love to know what you know. The car is a stage 1 tune but I don't know who by, there is a stored code '15148 - Maximum Engine Speed Exceeded: Engine Warranty VOID!' but the recorded speed was 100 km/h and part throttle, charge pressure 1.979bar but according to the fault frequency this has occured 49 times - it won't be getting anywhere near so abused during my tenancy, though it doesn't seem to have suffered much, there is a PCV intermittent but the frequency is only three. I fully expect to replace it at some point based on all the posts I have read and video's watched. Edited January 13 by BenKenobi
Steve Q Posted January 13 Posted January 13 As you've bought it from a dealer it's their responsibility to fix this free of charge as you're entitled to a full refund in the first 30 days.
BenKenobi Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Was sold as a trade in with no warranty, I got a good price as the dealer just wanted to offload, I knew what I was getting into and the price reflected that trust me.
BenKenobi Posted January 14 Author Posted January 14 Item 1 : Called the water box for whatever reason, the two holes require plastic 'screws' which is part number 8K0819664 Item 2 : The splash panel requires push type retainers / rivets - Part number 4D0807300 Item 3 : Requires a pair of plastic pins - part number WHT001506A The adaptive cruise radar unit in the bumper needs a mounting repair kit as it is loose and not secure at the bottom, ordered, part number 4H0998561 1
