CallumCou Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I have a concerning judder when taking off from 1st. Especially worse when very cold. Symptoms improve going downhill. I have read a lot about a dreaded DMF issue but not sure if it applies to me. My car is 1.6FSI manual 2006. also if anyone knows why I haven’t had my timing chain rattle at me yet please enlighten me, 94k miles and no history of timing chain change haha. thanks all.
cliffcoggin Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) The judder certainly sounds like the DMF problem, though it could also be a defective clutch. I don't know your engine, so are you sure it has a timing chain not a belt? Edited January 16 by cliffcoggin Spelling error 2
Steve Q Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I agree with cliff, sounds like an issue with dmf or clutch.
