Hi,

I have just bought a 2015 Audi A5 2.0 TFSI and have noticed a weird noise and feeling, I'm not sure what forum this would be classified under.

After having the car switched on for 10 mins (regardless of idle or actually driving for 10 mins), the car starts to shake and make a weird chugging sort of noise. The revs also start fluctuating wildly between 800-1100 (car idles at 900 normally). Once moving off / applying gas, this seems to stop at least for a while but might come back a few minutes later.

Once 15 minutes has passed, this will not happened again at all for the rest of the drive. As the weather has gotten colder, this issue has gotten worse, with the car actually stalling and shutting off multiple times.
There are no fault codes on the dashboard, nor any fault codes when scanned with my OBD reader. The car is perfect otherwise, and drives and changes gear completely fine.

I'm not sure if this is related or not, but I'm also getting terrible fuel economy: low 20's when in efficiency mode driving around town at night, usually on 30mph roads and trying to be gentle with the gas.

Has anyone else experienced this/ knows about this issue? From what I've read online, it sounds like it could potentially be the MAF sensor being faulty, but I could be wrong. I have recorded a video below to show the sound and revs:

Thanks in advance

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. As it could be an issue with the mad sensor, lambda sensor, cam sensor. What's the oil consumption like?

Hi, thanks for the response, I've scanned the car with a Carista OBD reader using Carista's own app as well as a third party app - no fault codes whatsoever. Oil consumption actually seems quite bad (which I thought was common for this engine?), done around 750 miles and the reading has dropped by between 1/4 and 1/3. Car runs fine 99% of the time, and now that the weather is warmer, the car is barely stuttering (but it is still there slightly)... was thinking of just cleaning the MAF/MAP sensor, replacing PCV valve and going from there, thoughts?
