Hi. Newly joined.

Was wondering if you folks ever came across this sound before with your cars?.

It's like a rubbing sound of some kind. Maybe a bearing wearing out?.

Only happens upon a fresh cold start, does it about 30 seconds into a fresh start and lasts for I think just under a min and then stops.

Car runs normal, even if you stop for a while and restart it doesn't make that rubbing sound, only on a fresh cold start.

You guys ever come across anything similar?.

Cheers. 👍

Hello William,

My hearing is poor, so unfortunately the recording doesn’t do anything for me.
Suggestion:- remove the auxiliary belt when cold and test again.
Kind regards,

Thankyou for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it buddy 🙂👍

I've the car in storage as I don't use it. I'll say to my mechanic to try that as I'm not mechanically minded at all. I've just no way with fixing things and all that. I don't have the hands or talent for it. Wish I did but I'm useless with all that.

It's been a long journey with this car and it's been a nightmare owning it. There's other things wrong with it too hence why I've not been able to drive it. Long, long story over the whole thing but not going to bore you guys about it.

Thanks for replying, means allot. I tried other places and got ignored and even laughed at, didn't exactly renew my faith in people way they got on. Not everyone is mechanically gifted to fix things or self diagnose things with vehicles, so thankyou for replying it meant allot 👍
