satnav updates

Hi all, I have just bought a A6 Avant on a 2012 plate, im looking at updating the Map file !  Having spoken to Audio,and told its £305.00 and they require the car, to install update file.  Can anyone recommend a cheaper reliable {safe} route please !

I used Satnavishop.co.uk to update my 2014 A6 allroad with 3G+ MMI. "David" was extremely helpful, answered every "help" email within an hour, and they sorted all the hiccups easily. Hiccups were unusual, it seems, as some other work had resulted in some of the MMI already being updated, but no-one knew... least of all me. !!

Many thanks Nigel, will make contact with David ! The  SD card in my unit is dated 2012, so would appear to be the original card !

Ive just updated my own, from the thenavman.com.

I updated MMI Software, Vehicle software and Maps.  Whole update took about 3 hours and was very simple.

I think the whole update cost me about £69.99. I contacted Ben thru Facebook and gave him the details. he gave me the link to order the right updates and they sent out the SD cards to me.

+1 for this, takes some time had the android update too 👍🏻

Unfortunately mine didnt add the android auto update, but that due to the age of the unit.  Its a 2009 A8, if i wanted Android Auto or the apple equivelent, i would need to change the unit to something newer. (which i wont rule out yet. its always a possibility for me!
