CoD and stop/start queries

I haven't been able to find anything in the manuals about CoD. Does it actually show anything on the MMI or in driver information panel on the dash when CoD kicks in?

I thought if I turn off stop/start when starting from cold it might be easier on the engine until it warms up and then enable stop/start. Does that makes sense?

stop and start kicks in after about a 3mile drive and when the car is warmed up.

mine is set up as auto disabled on engine start and then i put on if i want it

That makes a lot of sense .. so I don't really need to turn it off on start. Thanks.
