DaveDay Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Cutting a longer story short. My partner had a white 2015 Audi A3 Saloon which was her pride and joy until a lorry caught her rear quarter panel. The insurance wrote the car off and that was the last we saw of it However we still have the spare key that's pretty much unused. I just cannot bring myself to throw it away knowing how expensive main dealers are. I contacted DVLA and asked them if THEY could pass the key onto the new owner which they declined. Anyway now I am here knowing it's a massive longshot but here we are the reg number is BP65OEV I see from the MOT history that the car is back on the road.
Magnet Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Hello Dave, Did it go out of your ownership some 3 years ago? It seems to be doing a relatively high annual mileage since it left you, and although I share your wish to reunite the key and car, it will prove to be an almost impossible task, so I think you just as well now junk it ( some 3 years on-?) unless, by chance, someone may recognise the number operating in their locality. Always worth a try on here though for a couple of weeks. Kind regards, Gareth.
DaveDay Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 Well that's what I thought. I cannot remember exactly when it happened. My missus clocked low miles back and forward to work. As you say will leave it for a couple of weeks and delete the thread.
Magnet Posted March 13 Posted March 13 No need to delete the thread. Just leave it open, and let us know if you junk it. Kind regards, Gareth.
