Petrol or Diesel?

Hi, apologies if this is in the wrong place. I am after some help in deciding what engine to go for, petrol or diesel. I will be doing approximately 60 mile round-trip, four days a week on rural, country roads. I’m not sure whether to go for a petrol or a diesel. I have a read that the 1.5-litre 35 TFSI is a good option. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I do the same journey albeit lengthier 

you’ll get 60 mpg minimum on highway and you’ll never see those numbers on a tfsi
