Hi All,

2019 B9 Avant develops a really irritating squeak from somewhere in the boot.

I dispatch nephew into the boot while I find a bumpy road.

Squeak found to be some wobbly trim just under the driver side rear light cluster.  If you pop that cubby hole cover off in the boot on driver side, a couple of inches below the light cluster there is a threaded spindle sticking through the body work.  It looks like it should have a nut on it.  But doesn't.  Pull on the spindle, squeak stops, blissful silence.  You just see the bumper move slightly when you pull it, a couple of mm.

If looks like the nut fell off (looked but could not see it).  But plot thickens - I checked the other side, it's the same, no nut on that spindle.

I did not buy it new, it's possible the bumper has been off and they weren't replaced.  But if someone could check theirs and see if they have a nut there, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

HC.
