A6 Avant airbag light on permanently

My airbag lamp goes out but straight back on. Stays on all the time. Any pointers. The igniter from the battery was tec screwed to the inner rear valance and was sparking. I have since fitted a proper rivnut and fitted it correctly

You need to check the continuity and resistance of the wires going to the cushion module. In short, in my opinion, the fuse at the battery terminal. dismantle, rewire the pins in the bones, put back together, delete the faults

One of the most common causes is a loose airbag wire under the passenger seat. 

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. 

It could also be the airbag deactivation switch in the glovebox.
