Glove compartment

I have a 2010 a6 sline le mans, when I press the button to open the glove box I can here the mechanism working but the compartment doesn't open has anyone any ideas

I wonder if something has jammed it from the inside. If you look under the glovebox can you gain access to the hinge screws?
