No, Steve is running perfectly, tbh I thought by trying me friends, maf, yesterday fault would clear as he has same engine but it never cleared with carista

Good way of diagnosing it. Shame it's not maf then.

Cleaned maf and map with brake cleaner along with no1 02 sensor Steve don't want to go throwing parts at it as these sensors are expensive but sure where too look next.

Wondering if maf needed a drive to confirm flow as I just fitted and started car then removed ... :wallbash:

Hi its most likely the oxygen sensor, problem being when you put the other MAF on it will need re adaption and cleaning both with brake cleaner wont help, contact cleaner is better as it wont strip the coating off the MAF diode, the o2 sensor is the same as its coated inside with palladium and other precious metals but if the heater is going no amount of cleaning will cure it, with regard to throwing money away a new sensor is not that expensive but still needs adaption when fitted.

Screenshot_20240604_144506_SamsungInternet.thumb.jpg.837a72cf8301c1819de46bb9665318a0.jpgthat code only came up because a ran car with sensor unplugged and removed from exhaust off car cleared after reinstalled but 02 sensor running rich has always been there since I have owned car ...

Do you think replacing o2 sensor would be best to do 1st

Regards mark

Hi going through carista air mass value is stuck on 249.99 Screenshot_20240604_153600_Carista.thumb.jpg.f193a0e4f3219482b2c664c049aa8fab.jpg

Hi if both items have been on the car since new it might be worth changing both for Bosch units, O.E. on average most oxygen sensors and MAFs only  last about 80k or three years and gradually go what's known as blind the o2 sensor especially, the MAF heats up and measures how long it takes to cool giving a raw value of the speed and ambient air temperature coming in, the 02 sensor does exactly the same thing but because of the precious metal coating inside it only measures the oxygen level in the exhaust gas stream, both are easy to change but will need re adaption to learn new values.

Steve.

Hi anything Bosch/Hella you can't go wrong as most of their stuff was used O.E., I had Hella boost and Dpf pressure sensors when I changed mine and you could see where the extra money went, to quote one of Magnets favourite sayings, buy once buy right it is true good advice.

Hi they are tamper proof screws they are normally drilled out but a word to the wise only touch anything in there while wearing latex gloves as the sweat on your fingers will kill things.
