Peteb1951 Posted June 19 Share Posted June 19 (edited) If anyone has concerns about towing with an A4 b9.5 I've just completed my first towing trip. Contrary to some online posts I've found it an excellent tow car. The car is fitted with a Westfalia detachable tow bar with dedicated electrics and It towed my caravan at a full 1400kg load with no issues. The van was sensibly loaded, the tyres are the OE spec Michelin 225/50 94H set at the full load pressure given on the door post sticker and the nose weight was set at 70kg. I towed on motorways, A roads & back lanes. I can't comment on wind deflection as the wasn't much about but it was stable enough when overtaking or been overtaken by HGVs.
