Had a previous post a while ago, but I’ll start fresh.. cam tensioner had broken so removed head and inspected valves etc

no damage, all ok.. rebuilt top end and it started fine.. I decided to replace the oil pick up pipe as it looked like oil had been starved to the head..

I found this in the sump, any ideas what it is?.

Thanks Neil,

Very much a guessing game since we don’t have any idea of material type, dimensions etc.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

It’s metal, sheared off.
Smaller than 5p..

Looks like part of the tensioner if I’m honest ..

Best I can get with this phone

like I say it’s smaller than a 5p, it was stuck next to the oil sensor along with a tiny piece of plastic..

no filings in the oil or filter..
