BetterZoomHome Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Love my new (2023 plate) Q3 TFSI-e apart from one thing - the accelerator is so sensitive/not-stiff that I can't just rest my foot on it without speed slowly increasing - this is more of a pain for lower speeds. I am using cruise control and experimenting with seat position and only having the tip of my foot on it, but is there a way to just make it less sensitive somehow?
WhisperingAl Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I have the same issue on my old A4 B7. The slightest touch on the pedal accelerates, even a slight bump in the road. I assume it is a “fly by wire” accelerator as I cannot see a cable. Perhaps it is adjustable by VAGCOM.
BetterZoomHome Posted July 2 Author Posted July 2 Interesting. Maybe - is that something a dealer could investigate I wonder?

Hi its probably the TPS on the pedal has some wear have you plugged it in for faults you can usually find what's wrong with the pedal sensor on live data as if you hold the pedal in one position you can see the voltage disc moving on its own.
BetterZoomHome Posted July 2 Author Posted July 2 I only just got the car - my first Audi 🙂 - can I or should I buy this VAGCOM thing so I can check this out? Or do dealers have this? Thanks!
WhisperingAl Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I only have a cheap ODB reader so cannot check live data. I thought about buying VAGCOM but I only run Mac at home. 1 hour ago, BetterZoomHome said: Interesting. Maybe - is that something a dealer could investigate I wonder? Hi have any of your relatives got an old Dell or IBM they want to get rid of thats how I run mine and to be honest when I got it I have not been anywhere near a dealers since 2019 and if I am honest between VCDS and OBD Eleven there is not much you can't do yourself both systems have saved me a fortune probably six times what I paid for both systems and the handy bit about OBD is you can keep it in the glovebox, its tiny, for when you are out on the road as it runs on your phone. Steve.
