Baz1122 Posted July 20 Posted July 20 Hi all, Can the front Audi rings be removed from the front grill and and 2018 Audi A1 (older shape)? I’ve been looking around for information on this and I just can’t find anything. I do see some videos of people managing to do it on other models but not the A1. I do see some people having to change the full grill just to change the badge but I also see from black rings badges that are apparently fit this car. just wondering if anybody has managed to remove the badge without having to remove / replace the grill. thanks for any help
thatukguy_james Posted November 8 Posted November 8 a lot of a pain people say, u can buy a new grill for like £189

I decided just to remove the badge and see what happened. If I destroyed the grill I would have more motivation to fit a new grill. It’s turns out that I was able to remove the grill and replace with black Audi rings bought from eBay. The black rings from eBay did seem as if they were genuine as they had proper Audi branded packaging… who knows if they were still fake though. The badge fit perfectly and I’m so glad that I didn't need to buy / fit a new grill 🙂 1

When I read into this, everything pointed to the fact I’d have to remove the grill to do this. Turns out I didn’t - this could be because of the particular model of my A1 as it is a black edition and I’m not sure if it is a facelift version or not.
alpha omega Posted November 25 Posted November 25 apologies i got confused with your message regards stephen
