Hello new member here, My A6 2017 automatic won’t maintain power going up hill ( not a steep hill) rev 2500/3000 . Got full diagnostics done by Main Audi dealer with no positive results . Got ERG mapped out so could be hiding possible fault  ? When I get to top of hill power resumes but not fully, goes through gears very quickly almost too quick as in 5th @ 45/50 kilometres per hour. Probably have to get EGR mapping reset to factory settings ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Shouldn't be connected to the egr. When was the gearbox last serviced?

Surprised Audi didn't find any fault codes

Around 16 months ago, Not as surprised as me !!! They suggested I get it re mapped as this would probably show up any faults connected to it

Hello Tony,

Since you have had the car scanned at Audi , and had the gearbox serviced 18 months ago, then I think you are right to consider getting the mapping reset to factory settings before doing anything else.
Am I understanding the gearbox specialist? advised you to get this mapped, because there was a fault with the car at that point 18 months ago? If so, odd advice??
Perhaps you could let us know how things pan out Tony.

Kind regards,

Gareth.
