Need help, had my car into 3 garages and can't sus the problem, a quite loud knocking and banging when turning backwards and forwards at slow pace. This started happening after I had a metatronic unit replaced at an audi specialists. Took straight back and they said they couldn't find a problem. It's now getting worse. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated

Your description sounds like the CV (constant velocity) joints are worn, but if the problem started immediately after work was done on the car I have to wonder if something was refitted wrongly during the gearbox repair.

My thoughts were something like that but surely the garage would have checked those, there is also a slight knock sound when I brake. It drives perfectly with no noises, dosnt veer off neither.

If you are prepared to crawl under the car and get your hands dirty, it is easy to test the CV joints yourself. Clamp each drive shaft in turn with self-locking grips (e.g. Mole grips) and rotate to and fro. If you hear clicking and feel movement the joints are clapped out.
