I need to change one of my wheels, is the TPMS sensor in each wheel or are the sensors on the car? Thanks.

Normally attached to the inside end of the valve - inside the tyre. Your local tyre supplier will be your best source of specific information.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

p.s. I like to address replies by the person’s name. Would you be kind enough to amend your profile to include your name for us.
Many thanks.

If you cannot alter your profile name, then please at least respond to let s know so, and we will ask Admin to do it for you.

Some response from you since posting on 27th Aug. would reasonably be expected.

I changed a wheel on my A3 several years ago after hitting a pothole and damaging one. No issue with TPMS.

As far as I am aware, VAG don't use sensors in the wheels. There are magnetic rings on the wheel hubs with pick up sensors positioned next to them. Rotational values are stored and any changes at one or more wheels indicates a possible pressure difference, ie a puncture. It's the same setup for the TPMS on my Skoda Octavia VRS.
