Hi everyone,

I’m having some trouble with my 2011 A6 C7 3.0 TDI and could use some advice.

Up until yesterday, the car was running perfectly with no issues at all. But now, when I start it, it immediately shuts off. If I press the gas pedal all the way down, it will start up and stay running. However, whenever I come to a stop while driving, the engine cuts out almost every time.

I’ve run diagnostics with VCDS, Launch, and OBD11, but there are no DTCs showing up.

We tried replacing the throttle body, which has helped a bit—it no longer dies every time I stop. But starting the car is still an issue. If we disconnect the intercooler hose that connects to the throttle body, the car starts up just fine. But as soon as we reconnect it, the problem returns.

While driving it has no issues. Accelerates as usual, no weird noises etc...
