Hi, if anyone could answer would be great. Got an awful knocking noise coming from the drive belt. My question is. Is it likely to be the tensioner pulley, as my ac doesn’t work now either. Or the alternator pulley.

It could be either. Take the tension off the belt and rattle the pulleys to discover which is loose. The AC fault may not be related.

By the way, you have posted two previous topics about odd noises from your car without letting us know the outcome. How about responding to the replies you received, or at least aknowledging that you have read them.

Oh I wasn’t aware I had any responses. Just had to search for those.

You didn't even look? It seems that two people wasted their time answering your questions.

Not at all. I hadn’t received an email notification. Unsure why you are being so testy about it. There are plenty of reasons why I may not have been able to respond to a comment. After all I responded to yours didn’t I, that would assume I wasn’t intentionally ignoring anyone who was happy enough to help. But at this stage your just moaning

Hi unfortunately moderators have the ability to see from your account if you have viewed any replies so you can't sue him under the trade description act, furthermore if you are that short on time it beggars the thought why post?

I am being "testy" as you call it because the forum is being plagued by people like yourself who pose questions and never bother to look at the replies that others have spent time and effort on. If your problem was important enough to spend time composing your questions, surely it is worth a little more time to read and aknowledge their replies? Is that really too much to expect? If nothing else, the matter is one of good manners.

There are somethings we need you to answer:-

What is your location?

What is your real name?
Any particular reason for responding to a month old post?
Why are you making alarming assumptions about a serious engine problem?
Please return to the forum with the answers to the above.

Thank you.

Hi Gareth this particular gnome seems to pop up every time he is bored, he comes from nowhere applicable which seems to sum up his over stated opinions and spelling.

Steve.
