I'm now getting reverse light and brake light warnings for the same side. Note when I did open the compartment first time around there was moisture in it and very little water came out. You have nothing to lose by trying to clean the connector with fine abrasive and contact cleaner fluid, because the alternative is a new light unit. maramessi Posted Saturday at 02:02 PM Author Share Posted Saturday at 02:02 PM I got some cleaner in it and it seemed that when I put the cover back on it looked like the bulb was working as it looked like there was a reaction but it doesn't glow. Just a very dim red light. Any suggestions on next step? I did also notice the foam around the inside of the cover was out of position so I can glue that back into place. I'll have to fix that sponge sealant whatever it is around the inside of the lamp. What I don't get is how sponge is used as a sealant.
