can anyone suggest a garage to repair whistling drivers side window near Stoke-on-Trent?

Welcome Dean, and thanks for joining. 
Has this just happened, or have you only just bought the car? 
Sounds as if it may have had a new window winder mechanism fitted. Some of the cheap ones may give rise to this misalignment. 
Any garage or bodyshop should be able to look at this.
