A3 2015 glow plug engine management

My glow plug warning light is flashibg when i drive the car and the vehicle loses power, goes into limp mode. Recently it cut out and would not start, eventually got it started and limped home. Car is a 2015 audi a3 sportback

You need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up as it could be all sorts of issues
