Hi I have an Audi a6 2014 2.0 premium plus, I’ve been having an issue where a get brake system fault and steering fault. I thought it was the abs speed sensor and have replace both rear ones but not the front is it possible that it’s my brake pads. The car seems to reset when these faults appear just confused.

How old is the battery? A failing battery can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins.

I’m assume not that old when I got it from the Audi dealership it seemed fine granted it is a used car so who knows how long the battery has been there. But I check my battery voltage and it seem all good and my obd didn’t show anything with a battery issue, did also get abs faults and replace my rear sensors so maybe it’s the front ones also

There should be a date on the battery in theory. But change fronts and see if that resolved the issue

I would now suggest you get this car inspected ASAPat an independent.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

That's a risky assumption. Considering that a defective battery can lead to the sort of faults the car is showing I suggest you get it professionally tested, because a simple voltage test under negligible electrical load will not reveal the real condition of the battery.

So update had a mechanic look at it and he told that a module is the causing the cause throw it’s self out of wack. I guess the next step is finding that module and the location. Honestly I never delt with the electrical side of things more the mechanical part. Does anyone think a module would be the reason for the faults? Just want my car back :/

Why doesn’t your mechanic find it and replace it then?

Well he’s not my normal mechanic just someone who knows more about Audi’s cause I’m in the United States in a small town in the middle of nowhere but Im waiting to see how much he’ll charge to fix it.
