David7 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Hi all I have under company car allowance and i decided to finance an Audi a4 20 plate 17k miles in may 2023. Done all maintenaces in Audi dealership (Warrington) Car warrantt was 06.2020-06.2023 40k miles had also gearbox servicing witch i did at the same Audi dealership in 03.2024. In June the fun started Had 1x Gearbox malfunction. You can continue driving. Off / on mesaage gone. Had it again in July 24. Same thing. Car off / on error went away. had it once also when engaged in D from N the car will not move. Car off / on - judder and off i go 🙂 Aug 24- noticed all of a sudden - every time car went to D had a judder with rev moving. Over the next couple of weeks had jerky 3-2 and 2-1 + juddering when wheels stopped or car was put in D. Car acted perfect in all other gears. Went at Audi for a diagnosis - outcome : option 1 - new mechatronic 4.5k and no guarrantee that the issue will be fixed option 2 - new gearbox - 12.5 k Laugh / cry ? Your choice 😂 Raised it with the dealership since they touched that car and service it. Not their fault they said. Raised it with Audi UK since i had low millage (bellow the warranty thredshot even if i was outside it time wise). No goodwill from them and THAT I HAVE TO PROOVE THAT THE OIL CHANGE CAUSED THE ISSUE. Raised it that maybe wrong oil was put in/ not all steps of the procedure were made. Nothing. They are perfect. 🙂 Went to a VAG specialist - new mechatronic fitted - just bellow the Audi price. 4k. They programed it and done all adaptations - been told They alson told me i m not the only one but among first with so low milage 2 days later - only 1 symptom - first use on a day it does not move when put in D. just dropped it back to VAG specialist (Bolton) and see the outcome. For me it s strange…replace oil at 40k witch should prolong you gearbox life and at around 46-47k miles transmission starts playing up. I don t belive in coincidences - is a chain of actions that create an outcome. I was never lucky but not among the most unlucky either 😅 I will e mail Audi Germany and also try a small claims court case. Any opinion might be of a help ! I will update as soon as i know more
