Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a 2017 A4 that has developed a noise when turning the steering wheel to the left. For the last few weeks there has been a bit of resistance from the steering when turning left which I haven't had time to get looked at. Last weekend I had to drive through some floodwater and only since then is the noise present. The noise can be heard as a clunking sound in the video:

Also the textile undertray which was already damaged and held together and to the frame by cable ties once again fell down after driving through the flood and was scraping along the ground. I removed some of it and got a local mechanic to jack up the car to remove the rest of it. I'm contemplating buying a metal replacement and found one online, just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with this website:

And last but not least I have the P2002 error code which from what I've read on here is caused by the low pressure egr cooler. I've had a stage 1 remap done to go from 150bhp to 190bhp and the guy who did it asked if I wanted an egr delete done. I said no at the time but am wondering if getting it done will stop the EML and P2002 error from returning?

Apologies for the long post and thanks for reading!

Kieran.

That noise is typical of a loose under tray so its not surprising you found it damaged and interfering with the steering, but why do you want to replace it with a heavy steel plate, particularly one without a sump plug hole? Being keen on the car's performance you ought not to be increasing its weight with a slab of steel.

Hi Cliff, sorry maybe I should have clarified - the tray has been removed fully and the noise is still there so it's not responsible for making it. I'd love to get it up on a ramp and have a look under the car to see if there's anything obviously wrong
