Broken wires help

Hi all. This is my first post ..

iv just bought a 2008 s3. Bit of a project 

whole taking the drivers door off I noticed these 2 wires broken. And a few more that’s been repaired before 

 

can anyone tell me what the brown wire and the purple/black wires are for ??

and might this have anything to do with me having no sound from any speaker ??

Wire breakage is common within that rubber bellows, usually on the driver's door as that gets the most use. Search the forum for other instances. Be glad it is only the speaker affected, it's often the door lock or the window.
