Bluephenix Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Hi guys. Was wondering if anyone knows of an obd that will work on a 2024 plate a6 avant for the customisation? I currently have a carista but they have stated that there will be no update anytime soon. There is some changes I would like to make but don't know what one will work. Many thanks guys.
cliffcoggin Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I have read that OBD11 is the best, but not being a user of such things I suggest you wait for confirmation from somebody more knowledgeable than me. 1

Bluephenix Posted November 4 Author Posted November 4 Cheers for the reply. I don't mind having to pay for the unit or the credits. But don't want to pay out till I know for sure that they have the customisation function working now. Cheers Andy
Magnet Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Hello Andy, Is it really a newish 2024 (as in your first post) car you intend to play around with? Profile - 2067! Kind regards, Gareth.
Bluephenix Posted November 4 Author Posted November 4 Yes it was registered in June this year. As for the things I want to mess about with is things like the stop start. Speed limit warning. Things like that. Cheers Andy

Cheers Andy Hi it would be very helpful if you could let us know what it is you intend to customise or try and activate as there is a lot you can't do on a model as new as yours, the newer models 2020 on are equipped with a modified software and SFD which is an inbuilt protection system which stops the owner from activating functions that the car may have embedded in the body control modules, I have OBD eleven pro and that struggles on occasions with SFD protected functions, the idea is you are working on an SFD protected function and your system produces a challenge code to the VAG mainframe and its accepted it allows you to carry out that task, if not it just throws it out. Steve.
Magnet Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Surely, any degree of ‘messing around’ with this 4 month old car is highly likely to run the risk of invalidating the warranty. Not my business, but if there is any element of PCP or finance involved in its purchase, it may be legally claimed that it’s not fully your property to mess around with anyway. 1
cliffcoggin Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Andy. For the sake of clarity please amend your profile to show the correct date of manufacture, so that others seaching for any related problem can find it. 1
Bluephenix Posted November 7 Author Posted November 7 Hi all. Sorry for not replying to a couple of the replies. One of them i had already stated on the post above what was required. And a moderator asked me to update my profile. Which I have. Also I have ordered the obd eleven. So will let you all know how it goes. Apologies again. Cheers Andy
Bluephenix Posted November 11 Author Posted November 11 Hu guys. A wee update. I purchased the obdeleven. Eventually got it to work. Made some small modifications. Like turning of the speed warning sound. Also a couple of other things. So we now know that obdeleven does work for 2014 plate. Thanks everyone. Cheers Andy
