Magnet Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Thanks Dan, I wonder if you can do the forum a kindness and let us have the pros and cons of Agreed Value insurance. Many thanks and kind regards, Gareth.
DAN@ADRIAN FLUX Posted November 10 Author Posted November 10 Hi. With an agreed value car insurance, you agree what your vehicle is worth when you take out the cover. This value is set for the length of the policy which is usually 12 months. If you didn't have agreed value, if you made a claim it would be settled on a market rate value basis at the time of the claim. Vehicles can depreciate over time, so you could end up losing money. It would be between yourself and the insurer decide what the vehicle is worth. Regards, Dan.
Magnet Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Thanks Dan, Perhaps it would be useful to have details of what the restrictions of eligibility and use are involved with this form of insurance. Kind regards, Gareth.
DAN@ADRIAN FLUX Posted November 16 Author Posted November 16 Hi. We can offer an agreed value for pretty much any car as long as it is a minimum of 12 months olds. We normally ask for the completion of a self deceleration vehicle condition form and some photographs of the vehicle at various angles of the car. Regards, Dan.
Magnet Posted Sunday at 10:32 PM Posted Sunday at 10:32 PM Thanks Dan, So are you confirming you can indeed offer guaranteed Agreed Value cover- in the event of a total loss (as opposed to so called Market value) - for any car over one year old, and this cover can be obtained irrespective of the fact that that vehicle is the policy holder’s sole means of transport, and there will not be any mileage restrictions on the use of that vehicle? Kind regards, Gareth.
