Hos
Hopefully a really simple one. The steering wheel light has been on for weeks now. Yet there isn’t a problem with the steering, the fluid level is good, and it shows no fault codes on diagnostic. is this a common easy fix? thank you! Steve Q
Have you had the battery checked? A failing battery can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins.
Hos
It’s a new battery, but can’t rule out it being faulty I suppose.

Unless not correctly coded to the car. Id guess a sensor. Not sure what diagnostic tool that's been used but it might need a more sophisticated one from Audi or an Audi independent specialist. Also a bit more unusual would be an issue with the instrument cluster.
Hos
A sensor would be a good place to start. Thank you, I’ll look into that 👍🏻
cliffcoggin
Possibly related to your other topic regarding the radio. Also please confirm you have had the new battery coded to the car.
Hos
You have to code them to the car? How is that done?
cliffcoggin
I have not done it myself, but anywhere that has a decent diagnostic device should be able to do it. That does not include the cheap code readers that most folk have at home.
