Danny fisher Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Sick of constantly jumping starting my motor due to parcidic battery drain Changed my CCM module And went through all my fuses With a multimeter But no luck Any ideas
cliffcoggin Posted November 12 Posted November 12 How large is the overnight drain? A few dozen milliamps is normal. Have you any fitted any extra electrical equipment such as dashcam or satnav that may not be controlled by the ignition switch? If so, disconnect them and measure the drain again.
Danny fisher Posted November 12 Author Posted November 12 (edited) If I'm using my multimeter properly it was so sitting at 1.1 milliamps Edited November 12 by Danny fisher
cliffcoggin Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Danny. If that is a true reading, although it does seem very low, I suggest the battery is clapped out because of an internal fault. It would be wise to get it professionally tested before splashing out cash on a new battery and ensure you get it coded to the car. 2
Magnet Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Hello Danny, 1.1 mA just cannot be correct. A normal ‘drain’ when everything has shut down would be around 50mA. Kind regards, Gareth.
Magnet Posted Saturday at 09:09 AM Posted Saturday at 09:09 AM Hello Danny, Wondered if you are going to return to the forum to acknowledge information passed to you? Kind regards, Gareth.
