Wilbur1666 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Hi Hoping someone can help here. I have a 90 20v 2.3 Sport and need a clutch for it. Anyone know where I can source one? Cheers
Magnet Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Welcome Bill, Have you tried eBay? Also worth trying Parts in Motion at Exeter. They are a large scale motorfactors and might well be able to help you, via. an on-line enquiry with your reg. number, or giving them a ring. Try to obtain a good brand - such as LUK. Perhaps you can let us know how you get on Bill. Kind regards, Gareth.
Wilbur1666 Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 Hi Gareth, yes, been round pretty much everyone, both places included. Even tried Audi Tradition and no luck. Was hoping somebody here might have a stash of old stock.
Magnet Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Thanks Bill, In your quest, have you picked up the part numbers you need?
Wilbur1666 Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 Hi Yes… 3 part numbers and sizes listed… going to have to open her up and see what one it is. Just got her on the road so will be gutted if I can’t source a clutch. Hence trying here.
Magnet Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Thanks Bill, Try LLL website to see if you can obtain specific part numbers for your actual car. Appreciate trying all avenues is a must, but being realistic, you are on very short odds to hope anyone on here might have a complete new clutch assembly kicking about, but you never know. Worth giving LUK Technical a ring - they may just be able to provide you with the correct part numbers. Please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
Wilbur1666 Posted Tuesday at 05:51 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 05:51 PM Nothing yet. And not looking good. I’ve found a potential Sachs clutch on Autodoc but looks like I’m ripping my clutch out as there’s 3 types listed. Potentially the 20v has a 240mm clutch which is what this Sachs one is.
