Gillieeric
Hi, my 2017 Q7 alarm randomly sets off. It’s been like this over a week and it’s driving me mad because I can’t solve the issue. The car battery seems strong and has never let me down ! I’ve looked all over internet for solutions, none seem to work. has anyone experienced this and solved the issue? Thanks
Steve Q
Theres not a fly inside the car? Have you had a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up?
Gillieeric
Hi, no fly or anything on diagnostics?! Ive got it booked in with Audi on Monday but it’s driving me mad and I need a quicker solution. I’m paranoid about parking anywhere now, I’ve even developed alarm tinnitus ! Thanks for replying though
cliffcoggin
Is there a switch that allows you to lock the car without setting the alarm as a short term solution?
Gillieeric
Hi No there’s nothing there 🤷♀️ thanks though
cliffcoggin
That surprises me. I had such a switch in my 2007 A3 so I expected your modern car to be better equipped.
Gillieeric
I know all the threads and videos on YT show the button on DS door, but no there’s only a red reflector light there !
cliffcoggin
That's very odd. I recall it was a long time before I found the switches in mine, (one for no alarm and one for leaving a pet inside,) because the handbook diagram was unclear. Unfortunately I don't now recall the exact location and I no longer have the car for reference. They may even have been on the near side door which of course would be the driver's door in Germany.
