Audi dan Posted Tuesday at 06:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:57 PM Evening all The Allroad has an issue with it's suspension. It's slammed in the floor for no reason today and I need to find the location of the fuse and relay for the compressor I can't hear anything running I've replaced an airbag last year due to a broken rear headlight level sensor and was wondering would another one cause all 4 corners to drop? Regards Dan
Steve Q Posted Tuesday at 08:51 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:51 PM I'd say a faulty compressor. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up 1
Audi dan Posted Tuesday at 09:13 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 09:13 PM Thanks I'll get codes read tmrw Dan
Audi dan Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM I'll also check the relay although I've never known relays to go. It's in the rear right wheel arch I believe.
Steve Q Posted Tuesday at 09:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:39 PM Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
Audi dan Posted Tuesday at 09:40 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 09:40 PM Will do... hopefully something simple. I will check the other 3 headlight level sensor arms aswell.
Magnet Posted Tuesday at 09:46 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:46 PM Hello Dan, If you need parts/advice on air suspension issues, then Bagpipingandy on eBay is your man. Kind regards, Gareth.
Audi dan Posted Wednesday at 11:19 AM Author Posted Wednesday at 11:19 AM Hi all I had the codes read to this morning and it says an air leak. I can't hear one although the compressor isn't running. Would the compressor turn off due to an air leak? What if it's the compressor at fault? Where's the relay for the compressor? Kind regards Dan
Audi dan Posted Wednesday at 01:41 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 01:41 PM Think I may buy a new compressor..any good places to purchase from? Regards Dan
Magnet Posted Wednesday at 04:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:42 PM Hello Dan, ’Thinking it may be’ the compressor maybe a costly assumption, since it appears, an assumption it is. Where to get one ( if it is)? Refer to my post of 18 hours ago. Kind regards, Gareth.
Audi dan Posted Wednesday at 04:51 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 04:51 PM Hi Gareth I've emailed Andy with my info a D waiting for his reply I'll go over the car before coming to a firm conclusion. Regards Dan
Audi dan Posted Wednesday at 04:53 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 04:53 PM I'll keep you posted. Dan...hoping it's something simple 1
Magnet Posted Thursday at 09:24 AM Posted Thursday at 09:24 AM Thanks Dan, Well worth checking you have 12v at the compressor before coming to any decision. Kind regards, Gareth. 1
Audi dan Posted Thursday at 10:59 AM Author Posted Thursday at 10:59 AM Ok so I've looked at all bags and no obvious tears. Unfortunately as there is no air at all can't check for leaks. I'll get under the car soon and check for lower etc but the relay and fuse which I believe are for the pump have tested fine.. Hopefully it's the pump and or power issues. The reason why I think it's the pump as I had residual air in the air tank in the boot for a day or two and no leaks were heard. Anyway I'll keep you posted. I haven't had a reply from bag pipe Andy. Is there a number for him? Regards Dan
Magnet Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM Posted Thursday at 01:53 PM Sorry Dan, always dealt with him through eBay and messages. Kind regards, Gareth.

Once you have restored pressure a good test for leaks is to paint or spray soapy water on all components watching for bubbles. 1
Audi dan Posted Thursday at 05:13 PM Author Posted Thursday at 05:13 PM I'll get under the car once the weather is more forgiving.
Audi dan Posted 17 hours ago Author Posted 17 hours ago Ok so the codes were mainly level codes which I expected but there was two an overheating code and a code for a leak on or near the acumilater? Dan
