Hi guys,

For the last couple of days I’ve been turning the heating on in the car but they just don’t seem to warm up at all. The fans are running perfectly fine, they just don’t heat up. After looking online, the main cause I saw was a blown head gasket, although I’ve checked the other symptoms of a blown head gasket and I think I can rule that out (luckily!).

My engine gets up to temp within around 5 mins and will stay at temp without rising/decreasing. My oil isn’t milky, my coolant is not being overused so I’m unsure what the cause is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys 😊

Issue with the heater matrix is one option or issue with heater controls.

Right, Thankyou! It’s a massive relief from originally thinking it was a blown head gasket 😂

Excessive white smoke out the exhaust would be a sign of that plus if it was loosing coolant.

Neither of them are happening thankfully! I’ve checked the pipes that go into the cabin and one of them is very hot and the other is like warm at best, so could that be a blockage within the pipe potentially?

I'd get the garage to check but I'd suspect an issue with the heater matrix.

Booked in for the end of next week, so hopefully I can get it sorted before it gets any colder outside! Horrible timing 😂 thank you pal!
