DaveOL89 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hey, 2014 pre facelift Audi A6 Avant Ultra TDI when turning (especially small amounts) the steering wheel squeaks / makes noises. any one else have this? Any easy fixes? Maybe as simple as some lubricant behind the steering wheel? thanks, dave
cliffcoggin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Dave. It might as simple as the steering wheel rubbing lightly on the cowling around the column. If the noise stops when you bend the cowling in a little you have found the cause. A trace of silicone oil should help. On the other hand the noise may be from the steering column bushes that are a lot more difficult to access. 1
DaveOL89 Posted 8 minutes ago Author Posted 8 minutes ago It does sound more like it’s rubbing, will have a good look tomorrow and see if some silicone grease can solve it! Thanks for the reply!
