DWS Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Hi I have read so many forums and on here. My Audi TT indicator lights come on dimmed permanently when my side lights are turned on or main beam. So can not drive at night. I have hear about the mod on the earth on the back lights but I can not find anyone with an answer to my problem. They are on permanently on but will still flash to 100% then back to a dimmed 80%. Back lights are no problem, they all work fine. Please has anyone got an answer for this as with heart failure, damaged lungs I need the help to get it sorted. Thank you.
cliffcoggin Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 That usually indicates a poor earth connection at one of the lamp units. 1
Rybrook Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Are your side lights working? There is a fail-safe when the sidelights blow or are removed that the front indicators illuminate, you tend to see golf r32's and bmws with this one permanently.
Steve Q Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 I appreciate my A6 is a lot older, but I know the hazard switch can sometimes cause odd indicator light issues when it's failing.
Magnet Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 It seems as if the OP, Dean, joined, posted his plea for help, and never returned to read or acknowledge the advice given. Can the forum do without this time wasting, taking for granted type of member? I think so!
cliffcoggin Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Agreed. That's why I warned him, though it's unlikely he will ever read it.
