Carista - Fuel prime on tdi

Morning all,

 

my service parts arrived today (woo).

 

one thing I want to do is change the fuel filter (2.0l tdi 2014).

 

I have Carista and it shows that you can prime the fuel system on their website (see below)

 

however I’ve seen a few posts floating around the internet saying it can only do it with the C6! 
 

has anyone actually used this feature on Carista on a c7 tdi and can tell me if it worked?

I don’t want to strip the filter off and out the new one on only to find I can’t prime it with what I have. (I do have Carista premium).

Hi if the filter is mounted under the floor [tube type] pour a little diesel in to it and once connected cycle the ignition on and off eight times for ten seconds a time and the lift pump should fill it, once started run for at least five minutes as the HPFP is self bleeding and chucks out any air through the return side.

Hi Steve,

 

I had planned on that but saw on a post someone did that and this hpfp gave up the ghost with a hefty bill.

although I’m sure if the the filter is pre filled aswell it shouldn’t cause too much of an issue 🤞
