Angel Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 (edited) Had my car for over a year , 2019 plate sport back and when the weather is cold my windows fog up and often have to scrape the inside of them. I have the heat on and have checked my filters which are fine. Does this happen to anyone else ? I have tried salts and de humidifiers but unsure if I should just get my front window changed incase there is a leak in the seals , or get new ones done Edited December 2, 2024 by Angel More info
Magnet Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Welcome Angel, and apologies for the delayed response. Sorry to ask questions, but have you checked the carpets for dampness? Does the air conditioning work, and do you have it activated? Kind regards, Gareth.
Angel Posted December 3, 2024 Author Posted December 3, 2024 Hi Gareth , I had someone out checking it last night and he said the carpets are fine. He did say he found part of a seal under my bonnet which suggests the window has been replaced before and not been properly sealed. I only use hot air but both work fine , it’s never turned off. My windows do fog up with it on aswell.
Magnet Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Thanks Angel, As asked, do you keep the air conditioning/ climate control switched on in wet/damp weather?
Magnet Posted December 3, 2024 Posted December 3, 2024 Thanks, last question - have you confirmed the air con. is/was working during hot weather? If so, then it would be reasonably to suspect water ingress, but you tell us the carpets are dry.
