Ian891 Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Hey would love some advice I have a 2004 4.2 V8 S4 - I have an issue where my ESP & ABS light came on intermittently becoming more and more consistently on. Things I have checked and replaced Wheel sensors, reluctor ring, ABS control unit but the lights are still on - everything works but this is a real pain - anyone had this issue and does anyone have any advice I was informed brake pedal switch which I have not tried yet ... any assistance massively appreciated Thanks
Magnet Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Hello Ian, Have you checked this for fault codes which should identify the offending wheel, Could be as simple as ( and often is) a poor connection. Kind regards, Gareth.
Ian891 Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 Hi yes fault code says front right wheel sensor which I have changed - is there a specific connection you would recommend looking at... I am struggling! Thanks for coming back to me!
Magnet Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Ok. Sounds good, except why did you renew ‘sensors’ if you had isolated the issue to the sensor on o/s front wheel? Is the sender on the front wheel a Reluctor ring type? Kind regards, Gareth.
