Balmerino Posted Thursday at 02:09 PM Posted Thursday at 02:09 PM Hi, I hope this is the correct place for this question. My A4 B8 Avant 2009 displays ESP/ABS error and also parking brake error. From a diagnostic sofware, it looks like my NSF ABS sensor is faulty. My question is about a replacement part. Where can I get a truly compatible replacement? From which of the following manufacturers are the most liklely to work BOSCH, RIDEX, VEMO or another? Prices range from £10-20, excluding ther cable. Eurocarparts are charging £60 for | a Bosch sensor without cable, do they know something the others don't?
Magnet Posted Thursday at 07:14 PM Posted Thursday at 07:14 PM Welcome Raymond, and thanks for joining. Where are you searching? - possibly Autodoc or similar by mention of Ridex? ECP? It could be me, but I find their prices are seldom competitive, and very often, simply daftly high. I would suggest Bosch. Would probably be worthwhile searching Parts in Motion website. I don’t have any connection, except having benefited from very reasonable prices and a great service from them. Please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth. 1
Balmerino Posted Thursday at 07:40 PM Author Posted Thursday at 07:40 PM Hi Gareth, many thanks for the reply. Yeah, AutoDoc is one site i looked at. I will checl parts in motion as well and let you know how I get on once I have the parts. I have bought Bosch before, so will take your advice. Cheers Raymond
Magnet Posted Friday at 09:48 AM Posted Friday at 09:48 AM Thanks Raymond, Perhaps you would comeback to us once you have a price from P in M , and let us know how it compares with the same brand from other suppliers - also bear in mind that Autodoc charge you £8 odd? delivery, unless things have changed. Would also be worth checking P in M price for the same part on their eBay listings - maybe cheaper than buying direct. Kind regards, Gareth.
Balmerino Posted Friday at 01:10 PM Author Posted Friday at 01:10 PM Hi Gareth, To clarify, for any individual car, are all the wheel sensors the same? It looks like there could be one for FL + RR and a different one for FR + RL wheels. PiM is a few quid cheaper, when including AD shipping cost. However, I am a bit confused about part numbers. I believe the official Bosch part number for the NSF sensor should be 0265007930, this is listed on the PiM website, but on the AD website, the number is 0265007728. The PiM website suggests the ..930 part replaces the ...728 part; if that is the case, perhaps the AD website is selling old stock, could perhaps the ..930 be an updated model? Surprised anyone gets confused :).
Magnet Posted Friday at 05:35 PM Posted Friday at 05:35 PM Suggest using the phone to talk with them at P in M Raymond. Kind regards, Gareth.
