Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal

Good morning. Anyone on here replaced their Crankshaft Rear Main Oil Seal? Trying to gather as much info as pos before tackling it. Thanks.

Anyone changed this seal…? Interested to know what type of thread lock used…. Seal changed but still got a leak from somewhere…. 👀🤦‍♂️

Hello Stuart,

So you have already replaced the seal once ( in recent past?) and it still leaks?? 
If so, if the new seal used was of a reputable brand, then it’s probable that the rear main bearing is worn to an extent that allows to crankshaft to whip slightly and keep wearing the seal.

Hi Gareth. Yeah I changed it but the same problem I had before was still there….as if the seal wasn’t the problem.

Looking through pics and seen the Timing cover looks like it may be cracked….have you ever seen this? 
 

What is the recommended thread lock for the Flywheel bolts…anyone know?
