steff95 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) Hi My car suddenly started flashing the coil light and went into limp mode. I connected iCarsoft which says p046c00 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor “A” Circuit Range/Performance - active/static Cleared the faulth, started up again, and the flash came back quickly. Now when I scan it says p040300 exhaust gas recirculation circuit / p0403 exhaust gas recirculation control circuit - active/static Sometime in year 2020 the EGR on this car was replaced at a workshop, so I am wondering; can it really be the EGR again? Is there anything else worth checking first? Because I know it is a lot of work to replace this valve because of the location of it... Thanks in advance Edited January 16 by steff95
Steve Q Posted January 16 Posted January 16 This would all depend if a genuine or a cheap egr has been fitted. As the old saying goes it get what you pay for. It could just be a sensor.

And nothing else to check? I read that the coolant pump for this part sometimes fail as well, but I'm not sure if it would be very obvious in the fault code readings. Or EGR solenoid?
