W2FINEST Posted Saturday at 07:03 AM Posted Saturday at 07:03 AM Hello there so I have an 07 Q7 V6 that won’t start. The doors unlock and lock with key the dome lights work & so do the hazards etc. when I open my door the only thing that pops up on the cluster is the miles but when I put my key in the ignition nothing my happens when usually the steering wheel will unlock and the dash will turn on but it doesn’t do anything. I just replaced the battery in both the car & key fob & still nothing. I checked all the fuses and I also replaced the relay next to the battery under the driver seat. I tried to connect an OBD reader to it to find out what is wrong but even that won’t work I have no clue what to do nor do I know what is wrong. If someone could PLEASE help me I would really appreciate it!
Steve Q Posted Saturday at 07:16 AM Posted Saturday at 07:16 AM Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. Was the battery coded to the car when it was fitted? Well done for trying to plug it in. You'll definitely need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up? Have you got home start with breakdown cover? Also I've hidden your other thread as it's a duplicate. Cheers Steve
W2FINEST Posted Saturday at 07:19 AM Author Posted Saturday at 07:19 AM No the battery wasn’t coded to the car and when I try to use an OBD Reader it won’t work because there’s no power

This link might help further: https://www.elektroda.com/rtvforum/topic3405132.html Have you still got the old battery?
Steve Q Posted Saturday at 07:26 AM Posted Saturday at 07:26 AM This video shows you how to code it: Might be worth you getting an auto electrician to come and code it.
W2FINEST Posted Saturday at 07:26 AM Author Posted Saturday at 07:26 AM No I don’t have the old battery
W2FINEST Posted Saturday at 07:30 AM Author Posted Saturday at 07:30 AM (edited) Could I code it myself ? Edited Saturday at 07:30 AM by W2FINEST
W2FINEST Posted Saturday at 07:31 AM Author Posted Saturday at 07:31 AM And my car wouldn’t start or get any power even before I changed my battery
Steve Q Posted Saturday at 07:37 AM Posted Saturday at 07:37 AM The video on my previous reply might help. Also the Ross tech site has lots of useful information: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_Q7_(4L) Specific details on their battery section: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Battery_Replacement I believe the obd port is fused so might be worth checking the fuse. This video might help with connecting obd11 to it: https://youtu.be/QH283J1Wkno?si=-ByYuL3bZ8fBi2DB
Steve Q Posted Saturday at 07:40 AM Posted Saturday at 07:40 AM Think the obd fuse is in the fuse box at the left end of dash and is in the middle row of fuses, brown holder and is fuse location #12
W2FINEST Posted Sunday at 04:53 AM Author Posted Sunday at 04:53 AM So the battery is programmed and still nothing what I think it might be is the steering wheel lock thingy so I ordered this repair kit hoping it is this if not then idk what the heck it is
Steve Q Posted Sunday at 08:36 AM Posted Sunday at 08:36 AM Yep could be. Glad battery is programmed. Did you check the obd fuse?
